Children's Holiday Shop (Dec)
Held in December at the school cafeteria, this shopping excursion gives children the opportunity to shop for the loved ones on their list in a fun, safe environment! Some details about the event:
- All gifts are $1, wrapped and labeled
- Children shop with a personal elf helper while parents enjoy refreshments nearby
- Some fun photo opportunities
- Crafts - reindeer food bags
- Winter coats drive
Family Movie Day (Jan)
A day is picked on a weekend in January or February to go with other Macungie Elementary families to see a movie at The Emmaus theater. A great way to get out during the cold winter days and time to socialize with other parents and friends!
Roller Skating Parties (March 2, 2012: K-Gr2 and March 14, 2012: GR3-GR5)
Come skate with your friends for free!! The PTC hosts two complimentary skating parties for the students of Macungie Elementary! One for the Kindergarteners, 1st and 2nd graders and another one for the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders! Have some fun and get some exercise at a rolling skating party! Parties are usually held during the winter/early spring months, so it's a great way to beat cabin fever!
Parties are at a local roller rink and students must have an adult present who is responsible for them. Parents/guardians may skate with their children for an added fee.
*Please note: There is a fee for skate rentals

Family Bingo (April 13th, 2012)
Family Bingo Night is a night of bingo fun that is held in the school gym with food, refreshments and free popcorn!
Along with the awesome prizes awarded to bingo winners, baskets of items are raffled throughout the evening. Click here to view some of the items raffled.

Art/Photography/Writing Contest (May 9th, 2012)
An art/photography/writing contest that is held during Open House night in May. Students of Macungie Elementary are encouraged to submit any art/photography/writing project that they created outside of school during the 2011 school year. Awards and prizes are handed out at the Open House in May. See submission form for more details.

School Festival (May 18, 2012)
You can't miss this fun event! The festival features games, clowns (balloon art), dunk tank, cake walk, festival food, candy table and lots of prizes.

Tiger Trotters (ongoing)
Tiger Trotters is a walking fitness club offered to 4th and 5th graders. The children earn toe tokens for the miles they walk. They walk every Wednesday during their lunch recess. Miles for all the children are combined to reach a destination. 2009-2010 they walked from Macungie School to Hollywood and back. 2010-2011 they walked from Macungie School, to the Kennedy Space Center, to the International Space Station and back to Earth.
